Let's wrestle

Genesis 32: 24-29 - Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. And He said, "Let Me go, for the day breaks." But he said," I will not let You go unless You bless me!" So He said to him, "What is your name?" He said, "Jacob." And He said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed." Then Jacob asked, saying, "Tell me Your name, I pray." And He said, "Why is it that you ask about My name?" And He blessed him there.
God has given us so many examples in His word to obtain all that we need to survive this life. Jacob said that he will wrestled this man until he blesses him. He did not let go! Do we let go to soon when things aren't going our way? Do we even wrestle; really give all we have to win the match?
Last week, I finally understood what Jacob was talking about and refused to throw in the towel on my match, refused to give up so easily anymore. I'm down on the mat, all bent up in a banana splits; fighting and holding on until I can turn this thing around and at the same time caught up in a lateral twist, but until I can at least get upright; Until I win! Until God Bless me.....I'm wrestling...ding,ding!!!
